Outdoor dining on our terrace or in the spacious gardens– weather permitting.  Socially distanced tables (for up to 6 people) in our bar and restaurant.

Dogs welcome in the gardens and bar. The pub is perfectly located for a pre- or post-visit walk (with or without dogs!) in the surrounding countryside.


We always try to make your visit special, whether dropping in for a drink or enjoying something from the menu.

About Us

The Duck on the Pond is a characterful 17th century pub on the edge of the Cotswolds, with views of the village church and surrounded by beautiful countryside and lovely walks.

Join us for a drink, snack, meal or that special celebration.

You are welcome to leave your car in our car park if you would like to combine your visit with a country walk, a stroll around the scenic village of South Newington or a visit to the medieval church.
